Duane Brown

Duane D. Brown, 80, of Dalton, died Friday, April 5, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Duane was born on October 22, 1943 to Howard F. and Evelyn E. (Rhyan) Brown in Straubville, ND.

He graduated from Oakes High School. After graduating Duane served two years in the Army from 1961-1963. In 1964 Duane married Carolyn Anderson. In 1993 he married to Sonia Wickman.

Duane owned Duane's TV and Appliance and The Old Place and worked at the Legion. He was a member of the Eagles and Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Ralph "Bud" Brown and Merwin Brown; sisters, LaVonne Pfifer and Virginia Brown; first wife, Carolyn Louise Brown.

Duane is survived by his wife, Sonia Brown; children, Duane Alan (Dana) Brown of Port Wing, WI, Delane Marie (Eric Burmeister) of Savannah, GA, Mary (Lincoln) Dorn of Chico, CA, and Teresa Wickham of Fargo, ND; brother, Jerry Brown of Florida; grandchildren, Danielle Brown, Devin Brown, Taylor (Joe) Paquette, Jack Bergren, David (Shawna) Dorn, Reid Dorn and Tasia Wickham, and numerous great-grandchildren.
