Douglas James Pedersen, 50, a resident of rural Fergus Falls, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at his home. He was born May 24, 1958, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, the son of James and Eldora (Boese) Pedersen. He attended country school, and then high school in Campbell, graduating from Campbell-Tintah High School in 1976. He went to Moorhead Technical College for two years, receiving a degree in Ag Sales and Service. He returned to the family farm and worked there for as long as he was able. He was a member of FFA and the Mid-America Dairy Cooperative. Doug liked to visit, and enjoyed the challenge of farming – especially the field work. He also enjoyed spending time fishing at Orwell Dam. Preceding him in death were his father, James, in 1986; all his grandparents; two aunts, Dorothy Hinrichs and Delores Boll; two uncles, Winton Boll and Christ Pedersen; and a cousin, Linda Stelmaker. Survivors include his mother, Eldora and his brother, Dennis, both of Fergus Falls, as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.
