Dorothy Mae Landberg, 87, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Broen Home.
She was born on January 11, 1931, in Dane Prairie Township, rural Dalton, to Perry and Alice (Nelson) Ecker. Dorothy attended grade school in District 19, and then graduated in 1948 from Washington High School in Fergus Falls.
After graduation, Dorothy married John Landberg. The couple resided in Alabama and then relocated to Fergus Falls. Dorothy was employed at Lake Region Hospital in the Dietary Dept, and later at the Regional Treatment Center in the Dietary Dept, retiring in 1994.
Dorothy was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as watching birds, baking, and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Perry and Alice; son, Mark; brothers, Kenny Ecker and James Ecker; sister, Marlene Gustafson; sister-in-law, Alice Ecker; and brother-in-law, Emery Wiese.
Survivors include her 7 children, Bob (Beth) Landberg of Reynoldburgs, OH, Jeff (Esther) Landberg of Carrolton, TX, Diane (Larry) Krog of Fergus Falls, Peter (Sue) Landberg of Fergus Falls, Paul (Carolyn) Landberg of Worthington, Maryann Landberg of Fergus Falls, Shelly (Kurt) Kort of Fergus Falls; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Philip Ecker of Fergus Falls; and two sisters, Elizabeth Wiese of Elizabeth, and Ellen (Ervin) Johnson of Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018, at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls
Clergy: Reverend Ben Durbin
Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls
