Donna Mae Stich, 83, of Wadena, died Thursday, November 27, 2014, at her home.
She was born September 29, 1931, in Nidaros Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, the daughter of Rudolph and Gertrude (Reger) Johnson. She attended school in Battle Lake.
On October 17, 1949, she married Norbert Stich at St. Edwards in Henning. They moved to Fergus Falls in 1951 where she was employed at Lincoln’s Café as a prep cook, and at the Broen Memorial Home and Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center in the custodial departments, retiring in 1991.
Donna was a member of the Fergus Falls Eagles and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, Bingo, reading, travel, crosswords, and watching her soap operas.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Charlene Jacquart; three sisters, Mary Lou, Leone, and Flavian; and three brothers, David, Wallace and Ronald.
Survivors include her son, Virgil and Debbie Stich of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Erika Stich of Minneapolis, Eric and Candice (Strandberg) Jacquart, of Wadena, Heather and Jason Bruns of Sebeka and Zach and Claire Stich of Fergus Falls; great-grandchildren, Anicia Menefee, Caitlyn Jacquart, Haily Jacquart, Lucy Stich, Bard Stich, Jared Stich, Rachel Stich, and Oscar Bruns; great-great-grandchild, Jaxson Topp; siblings, Rodney and Dorothy Johnson of Stanchfield, Dennis and Donna Johnson of Underwood, Larry Johnson of Battle Lake, and Angie Pankratz of North St. Paul; daughter-in-heart, Mary and Roger Myaer of Wadena; grandchildren-in-heart, Daniel Jacquart of Wadena, Kimberlee and Aaron Timp of St. Cloud; great-grandchildren-in-heart, Tabitha Stinar of Fargo, Haley Stinar of Wadena and Imogen Stinar of Wadena; brothers-in-law, Vernon and Barb Stich of Battle Lake and Jack Barker of Henning; sister-in-law, Joanne Stich of Henning; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Olson Funeral Home Chapel, Fergus Falls
