Donna Krause

Donna Lynn (Marty) Krause, 49, a resident of Fargo, died peacefully Friday, March 20, 2009, at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, N.D., surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born September 23, 1959, in Pelican Rapids, Minn., daughter of James and Janice (Ouren) Marty. She attended school in Pelican Rapids, graduating in 1978, and later attended Moorhead Tech. On August 28, 1982, Donna married Jeff Krause of Moorhead. The couple had one daughter, Jessica. Donna was employed by many restaurants and businesses in the Fargo area. Her most recent employment was Peterbilt of Fargo. Donna fought a long, courageous battle with diabetes since the age of five. She had a zest for life and enjoyed social gatherings, good food, country music, vacations, shopping, dancing when she could and her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandparents. Donna is survived by her parents, James and Janice Marty of Pelican Rapids; her daughter, Jessica and fiance Darren Butenas and their children Joslynn and Wiatt. She is also survived by nine brothers and sisters, Cindy (Mac) MacLeod of Moorhead, Les (Deb) Marty of Pelican Rapids, Tom (Filicity) Marty of Pelican Rapids, Shirley (Kim) Schirado of Moorhead, Steve (Darla) Marty of Fergus Falls, Diane (John) Hanson of Pelican Rapids, Bill Marty of Pelican Rapids, Bonnie (Craig) Humphrey of Rochester, Ill., Julie (Keith) Wilson of West Fargo, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Visitation:   3-5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and resumes hour prior to the service at the church. Service:  11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church in Pelican Rapids.
