Donna Kolle

Donna Kolle, 88, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Park Gardens Senior Living in Fergus Falls.

Donna Mae Kapfer was born November 19, 1935 to Francis and Mona (Hendrickson) Kapfer in Anamoose, North Dakota. She attended Lindaas Consolidated School and Mayville Grade School. Donna graduated from Mayville High School, Mayville, North Dakota in 1953.

She worked at Mayville Pharmacy, Anchor Casualty Insurance in Fargo, Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Fargo, First National Bank in Fergus Falls, and Community First Bank in Fergus Falls. Donna retired from Community First Bank in 1995.

On February 22, 1957 Donna married Arthur Edwin Kolle at Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, North Dakota. The couple resided in Fergus Falls.

Donna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls for the past 59 years. Until most recently, Donna was very active in LWML, Circle, Loving Hands Caring Hearts, 4-H, BPW, Beta Sigma Pi Sorority, and Homemakers.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, baking, canning, cooking, child care, reading, computers, genealogy/family history, traveling, and camping.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Arthur E. Kolle; her parents, Francis and Mona Kapfer; mother and father-in-law, Ferdinand and Mabel Kolle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walt (Lee) Kolle, Verlye (Bob) McCulloch, David Kolle, Wanda Mills, Jim Lange, Gary Abraham, and Ann Kapfer, and daughter-in-law, Joey Kolle.

Donna is survived by her children, Cameron (Margie) Kolle of Mesa, AZ, Bruce (Gail) Kolle of Fergus Falls, and Scott (Stacy) Kolle of Fergus Falls; ten grandchildren, Allison (Chris) Mitlyng, Andrew (Sarah) Kolle, Markie (Eli) Ugstad, Samuel (Carmen) Kolle, Chris (Haley) Kolle, Stephanie (Josh) Olson, Daniel (Kellie) Kolle, Maggie (Maitland) Torgusson, Chase (Marcia) Kolle, Elias (fiancé, Makiya) Kolle; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Everett Kapfer of Omaha, NE; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernie (Ardee) Kolle, Violet Abraham, Maysie (Brent) Aarestad, Linda Lange, and Francis Mills; special friends, Wesley and Joyce Kube, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
