Donna Foss

Donna Foss, 93, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at LB Broen Home.

Donna Rae was born September 17, 1931 to Emil and Mae (Neitzel) Rossow. Donna was born and raised in Western Township and attended the District #243 school in Otter Tail County. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Campbell, MN. Donna graduated valedictorian from Campbell High School in 1949. She enrolled in secretarial classes at Wahpeton State School of Science graduating in 1950. She worked as a secretary at the PCA office in Fergus Falls, MN for five years.

Donna married Donald Foss on November 15, 1955 and started her career as a wife and mother on the farm near Wendell, MN. Through the years she was active in Sunday School, youth groups and mission work at the Rock Prairie Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and lap robes and quilting. She especially enjoyed visiting with her family, music and reading. She was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan and watched every game.

Donna moved to Mill Street Residence on March 18, 2014. She enjoyed playing Scattergories, SkipBo, Uno, and Whist. She was very lucky at Bingo and won lots of quarters. Donna excelled playing UpWords and could win quite easily even with her failing eyesight.

She moved to Broen Home on December 26, 2024.

She will be sadly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Emil and Mae; husband, Donald; brother, Willard Rossow; sister, Delores Kelm; her in-laws, GJ and Alice Foss and sister-in-law, Evelyn Lien.

Donna is survived by her sons, Charles and Richard Foss; daughters, Joni Lordeman and Susan Foss; grandchildren, Kelly, Gina, Rachel, Jennifer, Joshua, Aaron, Justin and Jeremy; many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Clergy: Reverend Kate Bruns

Interment: Rock Prairie Cemetery rural Elbow Lake, MN in spring of 2025.
