Donald B. Ysteboe, 82, a resident of Fergus Falls, formerly of Moorhead, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls. Donald was born on January 23, 1926 in Perley, Minnesota, the son of Harold and Stella (Hviding) Ystebo. He graduated from Hendrum High School in 1943. After high school, he entered the United States Navy and served in World War II until 1946. On October 10, 1947, he married Donna Dullum in Hendrum, Minnesota. Donald was the owner of the Service Master Franchise and worked for Moorhead Public Service. He was a member of Triumph Lutheran Church in Moorhead and also belonged to the Kiwanis Club and Gideon Society of Moorhead. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and woodworking. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Charles Davis Ysteboe and brother, Harvey Ystebo. Survivors include his wife, Donna of Fergus Falls; children, Timothy (Rachel) Ysteboe of Succasunna, New Jersey, Thomas (Serene) Ysteboe of Fargo, Michael (Barbara) Ysteboe of San Antonio, Texas; Marci (John) Weisenberger of Fergus Falls; Paul (Jo) Ysteboe of Snoqualmie, Washington and John (Shannon) Ysteboe of Grand Forks; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Stuart (Margaret) Ystebo of Moorhead and sister, Marlys Henneman of Minneapolis. A time to greet the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday with a public prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. at Triumph Lutheran Church in Moorhead. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at Triumph Lutheran church with the Pastor Jeff Seaver officiating. Olson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
