January 4, 1943 — March 20, 2025

Donald Linn, 82, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, March 20, 2025 at his residence under the care of Vivie Hospice.

Donald Claire Linn was born January 4, 1943 to Richard and Dorothy (Newell) Linn in Jamestown, ND. He graduated from Jamestown Academy in 1961 and then attended Jamestown College.

On October 13, 1962, Don married the love of his life Marilyn Lulay in Jamestown, ND.

He worked for Ottertail Power in Engineering Service for 42 years.

Don was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, serving as a lector, eucharistic minister, and on the building committee. He was a member of the Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, Classic Car Club, Lake Region Threshing Association and a Boy Scout leader.

He loved spending time with the love of his life, Marilyn, his family, and friends. His faith was very important to him. He had a passion of cars and hotrods; he loved engines and mechanics and could fix anything. Don enjoyed treasure hunting at Sieglman's, playing Santa Claus for his grandkids and the children of Ottertail Power. He was an avid bow hunter, spent winters in Arizona, enjoyed wood carving and spending time in his shop.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard and Dorothy Linn, and his brother, Jerry Linn.

Don is survived by his wife, Marilyn Linn; his children, David (Deb) Linn, Julie (Brad) Spry, John (Melissa) Linn, and Thomas (Jill) Linn; grandchildren, Mariah Huseth, Karissa Nagel, Andrew Banal, Anthony Banal, Samantha Banal, Josh Linn, Matthew Linn, and Asher Linn, and great-grandchildren, Arlo Huseth, William Huseth, Harrison Nagel, George Nagel, Lily Banal, William Linn, and Blair Linn.
