Dolores I. Scott, 84, died Friday, December 3, 2010, at the Pioneer Retirement Community, Fergus Falls. She was born on June 8, 1926, to Rudolph and Martha (Skugsol) Halvorson in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated from high school in Battle Lake, MN. On June 17, 1950, Dolores married John Scott and they made their home on a farm near Fergus Falls, where they raised their two children. She worked as a waitress for many years in the area and also worked for Medallion Kitchens, Woolworth’s and McDonalds all in Fergus Falls. They were married for 55 years before John’s death in 2006. Dolores is survived by her son, Kirk Allen (Dodie) Scott of Ottertail; her daughter, Bonnie Marie (Walter) Gondrez of Foxhome; four grandchildren, Christopher Scott (Julie), Jesse Scott (Emily), Jacqueline Gondrez (Wade) and John Gondrez (Kayla); six great-grandchildren, Masyn Washington Gondrez, Devon, Lilly, Ariel, Daidre and Chase Scott; her brother, Gordon Halvorson; her sisters, Marjorie Halvorson and Norma (Fred) Swanberg; her sister-in-law, Betty Halvorson; her cousin, Iris (John) Larson; nephews and nieces; and her cat, Butters. Preceding her in death were her husband, John; her parents and her brother, Boyd Halvorson. Memorials are preferred to Federated Church Mission Fund.
