Diane L. Stachowski, 57, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born on October 2, 1954, in Chisholm, the daughter of Marvin and Bernice (Orth) Kalusche. She attended school in St. Cloud, graduating from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1973. On May 7, 1977, she married her high school sweetheart, Steven Stachowski at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Diane was a daycare provider for 25 years before becoming involved with her family’s business, Fergus Brick, which they started in 1979. Diane was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, riding Harleys, football, cross stitching, puzzles, cooking, watching the MN Twins and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her father, Marvin, and father-in-law, Arthur J. Stachowski. Survivors include her husband Steve; sons, Joseph of Fergus Falls, Jason and Stephen (Michelle Vojtisek) all of Fargo; four granddaughters, Anna, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn and Savannah; her mother, Bernice Kalushe of St. Cloud; two sisters, Pat (David) Jansky of Kimball and Mary (Louis) Winskowski of Sartell; two brothers, Tom (Mary) Kalusche of St. Cloud and Michael (Kris) Kalusche of Rice; her mother-in-law, Laurell “Dodie” Stachowski of Sartell; two brothers-in-law, Paul (Katie) Stachowski of LaCrosse, WI and Gene Stachowski of Pendelton, OR; a sister-in-law, Julie (Don) Ramler of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
