Diane Lister

Diane Faye (Erlandson) Lister, 62, of Moorhead and formerly of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota after a three year battle with cancer. She was born January 1, 1950, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Milton and Arlene (Schmidt) Erlandson. She attended school in Elbow Lake, graduating in 1968. She then attended Willmar State Junior College, graduating in 1970 with an A.A. degree. She married Michael Lister in 1970 in rural Elbow Lake. Diane worked in various offices over the years, and also played piano for various church services. After becoming a resident at the Golden Living Center in Moorhead, she enjoyed playing for church services there. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Diane enjoyed baking, music – especially playing piano, games – especially Scrabble and cribbage, and playing Bingo with her grandsons. She thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with her grandsons. They were always a part of her conversations. She is survived by her children: Shane Lister of Fargo, and Dawn (Jim) Pearson of Fargo; three grandsons: Seth, Jake and Kyle Pearson of Fargo; her parents, Milton and Arlene Erlandson of Elbow Lake; and a sister, Barbara (David) Ellis of Fergus Falls. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation: 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a 4:30 p.m. prayer service and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
