Deloris Tommerdahl

Deloris J. Tommerdahl, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born March 23, 1927, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Cornelius and Edna (Steinbach) Witt. She attended country school in Buse Township, and graduated from Fergus Falls High School.  On October 11, 1947, she married Loren “Bud” Tommerdahl in Fergus Falls. She worked at Scott’s Store for a number of years, Norby’s Department Store for 28 years, and most recently as a cashier for the Fergus Falls, Medical Group, retiring in 1997. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She was also a member of a bowling team for many years.   Deloris enjoyed baking cookies, pineapple cake, and Casey Jones bars to share with friends and family. Preceding her in death were her husband, Loren, in 2001; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Merle Tommerdahl.  Survivors include her children, JoAnn (Gordon) Cline of Erhard, and Jean (Colin) Wahlgren of Fergus Falls; a sister, Marie (Russell) Stock of Fergus Falls; a sister-in-law, Lucille Tommerdahl of Fergus Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Visitation:     5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
