Delores Alvina Pedersen, 76, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Delores was born on September 9, 1936 in Battle Lake, the daughter of Alvin and Frieda (Wohne) Selleck. Her father died when Delores was 4 years old. She grew up and attended school in Battle Lake. In 1954 she graduated from Battle Lake High School.
She married Vernon Pedersen a few years after high school. The couple had 5 children; Gregory, Bruce, Jolene, Rick and Alvin.
She was a very artistic person and enjoyed painting, being a seamstress and cooking. She also loved to play bingo.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Gregory; siblings, Verle and Glenn.
Survivors include her children Bruce (fiancée, Tonya Karlstad) of Fergus Falls; Jolene (Jeff) Karlstad of Fergus Falls; Rick (Andrea) Pedersen of Perham; Alvin (Anne) Pedersen of Wolf Lake, MN; grandchildren, Sarah (Jimmy) Kyro, Holly (Chris Barton) Pedersen, Janie (Kris) Andersen, Mary Rio Santana, Joshua, Zach, and Chelsie Pedersen, Timothy, Mark and Steven Rehm, Britany, Shania, Katelyn and Tristen Pedersen, Casey, Rudie, Treysen and Taylen Pedersen; numerous great-grandchildren and two siblings, Vonnie Johnson of ND and Darlene Owen of Fergus Falls.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Tordenskjold Cemetery in rural Underwood, MN with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
