DeLores Langston

DeLores M. Langston, 84, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
She was born September 18, 1928 in Foxhome, Minnesota, the daughter of Ole and Clara (Peterson) Johnson. She grew up in the Foxhome area and attended school in Foxhome and Breckenridge. She was baptized and confirmed at Vukku Lutheran Church, rural Foxhome.

On March 15, 1947 she married Rudy Langston at Vukku Lutheran Church. Over the years she was employed at Skogmo’s Café in Fergus Falls and Kelly’s Steak House in Breckenridge. After her retirement she did volunteer work at the Eagle’s.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls, and the Eagle’s and VFW. In her early years she was a member of the Foxhome Saddle Club as well as the Red River Riders.

DeLores enjoyed gardening, baking, embroidering, making baby quilts, and visiting with her family and friends, especially with her friends at the Eagle’s and VFW clubs. She also enjoyed horseback riding in her younger days.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her siblings, Donald Johnson, Vernon Johnson, and Lucille Harry.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy Langston of Fergus Falls; two sons, Dennis (Kathy) Langston and Todd Langston, both of Fergus Falls; five grandchildren: Tracy, Samantha, Nathan, Brandon, and Abby; four great-grandchildren: Keon, Joshua, Jenna and Dylan; a sister, Marie “Sis” Oliphant of Foxhome; and numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
