Delores Christianson

Delores J. Christianson, 90, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Park Gardens Memory Care in Fergus Falls.

Delores Jane Ringquist was born December 30, 1933 to Clifford and Bernice Ringquist. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Amor, MN and graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1951. She was a long-time member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

She spent her childhood growing up in Amor, frequently going to Otter Tail Lake with her brothers. On June 23, 1952, Delores married Clarence "Kelly" Christianson. Together they had four children: Susan, Sandy, David, and Dean. Once married she worked at Omera's Department Store in Fergus Falls, until she and her family moved out to the country. There they raised horses, pigs, and goats. She was active in the saddle club and trail riding. In 1971 they moved back to town. Once in town she and Kelly loved to go motorcycling and were members of the Snow Eagles Snowmobiling Club. She worked at Otter Tail County Public Health until her retirement in 1993.

Delores is survived by her children, Sandy (Garry) Hannah, David (Kris) Christianson, and Dean Christianson; grandchildren, Jerid (Katrina) Courneya, Bryce Courneya, Chelsey (Jeff) Poquette, Taylor (Caitlin) Hannah, Lydia Christianson, Sadie (Andrew) Leinen, and Derek Christianson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Kelly; daughter, Susan; grandchild, Alex David Christianson; her parents, and all of her siblings.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Olson Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.
