Delores Braasch, 75, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday April 18, 2007, at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. She was born February 4, 1932, in Leaf Mountain Township of Otter Tail County, the daughter of Peder and Hilda (Gullickson) Thorson. She was baptized and confirmed at Leaf Mountain Lutheran Church. She attended Leaf Mountain country school. On September 22, 1949 she married Milton Formo, and they had six children together. On November 28, 1986 she married Alfred Braasch. She worked various jobs throughout her life as well as being a loving mother and grandmother. Delores especially enjoyed her family and participating in all their activities and family functions. She also liked dancing, bingo, camping, eating fish, collecting owls, and all church activities. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Palmer, Delmer and James Thorson; two sisters: Verna Veazie and Selma Anderson; a great-granddaughter, Michaela Formo; her husband, Alfred Braasch; and the father of her children, Milton Formo. Survivors include her six children: Seldon Formo (special friend Cindy Abbott), Linda (Ron) Carey, and Dale (Deb) Formo, all of Fergus Falls, Bob (Pat) Formo of Yankton, SD, Mark (Kim) Formo of Champlin, MN, and Dean (Chrissy) Formo of Somerset, WI; 18 grandchildren: Scott and Jeffrey (Nadine) Formo, Sharon (Jeremy) Friedrichs, David (Becky) Formo, Heather Formo, Jennifer (Pete) Stienke-Formo, Adam (Jackie) Formo, Rebecca (Jason) Formo, Benjamin Formo, Robert (Crystal) Burns, Jessica Formo, Adisa Formo, Chantelle (Chris) Reine, Nicole (Donnie) Sounthala, Justin(Rachel) Formo, Derrick (Megan), Stephanie and Mitchell Formo; two step grandsons: Chad (Amy) Anderson, and RJ (Jessica) Anderson; 15 great-grandchildren: J.R., Anthony, Brett, Caleb, and Coty Formo, and Dalton Friedrichs, Megan (Levi Harbour) Formo, Alyssa, Eric, and Hunter Formo, Hailey and Ryan Formo, Zach and Morgan Stienke, and Carissa Reine; one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Formo-Harbour; her sister, Alice Thompson of Fergus Falls; sister-in-law, Frances Thorson of Fergus Falls; and UFF-DA many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
