Delmond Evan Iversen, 82, of Bismarck, North Dakota, and formerly of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday evening, April 25, 2007, at his home in Bismarck. He was born November 1, 1924, in Fergus Falls, the son of Albert and Ann (Eckerman) Iversen. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1943. He attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and graduated from Moorhead State University. He served with the U.S. Army in France and Germany in World War II. On September 16, 1949, he married Jessie Ann Swan in St. Paul. He taught school in Minnesota and California. He then worked for the IRS in California, transferring to Bismarck, North Dakota in 1969. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1985, and continued to make his home in Bismarck. Delmond enjoyed the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, and time spent with his children and grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Jessie; his parents; and his sister, Margie Holmen. Survivors include his five children: David of Tehachapi, California, Paul of Fruita, Colorado, Janice (Merlin) Bohn, Joanne (Donald) Glaser, and Shirley (Floyd) Wilson, all of Bismarck, North Dakota; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Iversen of Fergus Falls; and a brother, Elden (Elaine) Iversen of Fergus Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Service: 1 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home Chapel in Fergus Falls. Clergy: Reverend Dr. Daren Flinck. Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls.
