Debra Lee Seeba, 59, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 18, 1953, in Hayward, California, the daughter of Maxine Benson and James Winans.
She married Vern Schmidt in 1969 in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1981 she married John Seeba in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Debra was a Mother, Nature Supervisor and Caretaker hired by God, housewife, and caretaker. She worked at the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum, the Park County Check Station, as a Ranch hand in Montana, and at Lenny’s Dance Barn.
Throughout her life, Deb enjoyed MANY different activities. Dancing was her top favorite, but she also enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, camping and many outdoor activities. She thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of nature and all the critters out in the wild and loved to feed, photograph, and video tape them. She was a true animal lover and had many, many wonderful pets throughout her life. She also had a “way” with animals and if they needed help, they somehow found their way to her door for her to love them and care for them. Deb was a true gift to all that knew her. She had a heart for giving and caring for those who were less fortunate and loved them for exactly who they were. Her laugh and energy were very contagious and she knew how to make everyone feel welcome and special. Dale, her family, kids and grandchildren were her “heart”.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Linda Amador, her father, James Winans, and her brother, Richard Winans.
Survivors include Dale Tjaden, her companion of 16 years; her son, William (Desiree) Schmidt; her daughter, Lori (Spencer) Knisely; five grandchildren: Shayla, Jody, Andrew, Karin and Emily; her mother, Maxine Cleveland, and step-father, Melvin Cleveland; her sister, Lori Cramer; cousin, Nancy Phillips; and nieces and nephews: Becky Winans, Chrissy Bolduc, Tiffany Cramer, Sean Cramer, Felice Tafoya, Andy Amador, and Jennifer Amador-Harbaugh.
