Debra Drechsel

Debra Drechsel, 69, of Fergus Falls, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Debra Ann Drechsel was born February 14, 1955 to Robert and Patricia (Devlin) Reames Sr. in Portland, OR. She graduated from Oscoda High School. On February 17, 1973 she married Vernell Drechsel in Oscoda, MI.

Through the years Debra was employed at various health care facilities, Elizabeth Creamery and worked together with Vernell on the farm milking cows and doing farm work.

Debra was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed helping her in-laws and brothers and sisters-in-law. She enjoyed cooking, canning, making potato salad, collecting rocks and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Reames Sr.; brother, Robert O. Reames Jr., and Scott Reames; sisters, Margaret Dorr and Susan Reames; mother and father-in-law, Herbert Sr. and Myrtle Drechsel; sister-in-law, Marion Schiesser; and brothers-in-law, Vern Drechsel and David Drechsel.

Debra is survived by her husband, Vernell of Fergus Falls; sons, Thomas (Laranda) of Underwood and Timothy (Ember Daley) of Fergus Falls; daughter, Tina (Bryan) Umlauf of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Braxten, Jayce, Celia and Natalie; mother, Patricia Reames Brown of Oscoda, MI ; sister, Pamila (Steve) Laursen of Oscoda, MI and brother, James (Laurie) Reames of Oolitic, IN; sisters-in-law, Shirley Drechsel, Gloria Drechsel and Patricia Dowd; brothers-in-law, Herbert Drechsel Jr., Duane (Marilyn) Drechsel and Carroll (Pauline) Drechsel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Olson Funeral and Cremation with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Fergus Falls.

Clergy: Reverend Keith Ratcliffe

Interment: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fergus Falls.
