David Willis Shearon

David Willis Shearon, 92, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, January 23, 2017, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

David was born on May 27, 1924, in Maplewood Township to Ross and Nellie (Small) Shearon.

On February 24, 1946, he was united in marriage to Meena Ferne Muckey. They farmed in Maplewood Township until 1972 when they moved to Fergus Falls.

He began working at the Regional Treatment Center in July 1966 and retired on March 30, 1990.

David enjoyed his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, hunting, fishing and traveling.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife, Meena; brothers, Chester, LeRoy and Robert; sisters, Pearl, Gertie and Clara; daughter, Ruby; and son-in-law, Gerald Davenport.

He is survived by his son, Ross (Loyce) Shearon of Fergus Falls; daughter, Rosalie Davenport of Campbell; grandchildren, Will Shearon, Kathy Shearon, Christina Davenport and Samuel (Chrissy) Davenport; and great-grandchildren, Theron and Orrin Davenport.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home

Service: 1:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
