David Beighley
David H. Beighley, 74, of Underwood, died Thursday, December 6, 2017, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
He was born March 3, 1938, in Perham, the son of Charles and Minnie (Tober) Beighley. He grew up in Perham and graduated from high school there in 1956. Following high school, David served in the U.S. Marines from November 29, 1956 until October 9, 1959.
On March 25, 1961, he married Marilyn Graham in Perham. They lived in St. Paul, where he worked at Acro Metal as a machinist from 1961-1967. They then moved to the Fergus Falls area where David was employed at Otter Tail Power Company in the maintenance department from 1967 until retirement in 1999.
He was a member of Zion Sarpsborg Lutheran Church in Dalton, where he served on the church council. He was also an active member of NFDA (National Fish Decoy Association) and the Minnesota Dark House and Angling Association. David enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, carving fish decoys, playing cribbage, and giving his great-grandson, Miles, rides on the 4 wheeler.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Charlie and sisters Mary and Dorothy.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Underwood; two sons, David Craig (Julie Seaver) of rural Erhard and Christopher Douglas (Holly) of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Erica, Beth, and Alissa Beighley and Ricky Hendershot and a great-grandson, Miles Beighley.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Zion-Sarpsborg Free Lutheran Church in Dalton

Interment: Zion Cemetery, Dalton, Minnesota
