David Louis Anderson Jr., 65, of Fergus Falls, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, peacefully at home.
David was born on November 11, 1951 to David Sr. and Viola (Rounsville) Anderson in Fergus Falls. He graduated from New York Mills High School in 1969, and attended Southwest Minnesota State College in Marshall, MN until he was drafted into the United States Army. During his time in the Army he served a tour in Vietnam, and was then stationed in Fort Hood, TX. David was honorably discharged 1975.
On August 18, 1971, David married Nona Coudron in Marshall, Minnesota. To this union, they had 3 sons: Jason, Travis and Joshua.
David helped start the first annual Veterans Motorcycle Run to benefit the Veterans Home here in Fergus Falls. With the money that was raised a TV was purchased for the Veteran’s Rec Room.
He enjoyed motorcycling, camping in the motorhome that they recently purchased, and deer hunting with family. He loved his family and was very proud of his 3 sons. He didn’t always tell the boys how he felt but he always told his wife how proud he was of them.
Before David got sick he worked at ProLawn. He learned so much in that time and appreciated and highly respected his boss Cody.
