Darlene Jeanne Hoff, 81, of Fargo, North Dakota, and formerly of Rothsay, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Fargo. She was born January 7, 1931, in Akron Township of Wilkin County, Minnesota, the daughter of Willis and Inga (Gronseth) Fuder. She grew up in Rothsay, and after graduating from Rothsay High School she worked in Dalton at her aunt and uncle’s grocery store. On August 26, 1951, she married Glenn Hoff at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Rothsay. They lived in Ashby for a short time, and then moved back to Rothsay. She was employed at the grocery store, and later worked as the Postmaster in Rothsay in until she retired in 1989. Darlene moved to Fargo in 2005 to be closer to her family. Darlene loved spending time with her family and staying at her cabin on Lake Lizzie. Darlene will be greatly missed by her family, and is survived by her daughter, Cindy Lanum, Fargo, ND, grandson, Eric Lanum, Fergus Falls, granddaughter, Kristin (Brian) Treiber, Fargo, three great-grandchildren, Greg, Ayrika and Taylor; a sister-in-law, Jean Wick, Elbow Lake, three nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, Glenn. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at New Life Lutheran Church in Rothsay Clergy: Reverend Paul Huso Interment: Hamar Cemetery in Rothsay Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
