Dale Larson

Dale A. Larson, 46, a resident of rural Rothsay, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, near Rothsay as the result of an automobile accident. Dale was born on February 10, 1966 in Fergus Falls, the son of Warren and Viola (Wheeler) Larson. He graduated from Rothsay High School in 1984. After graduation he attended NDSCS and graduated in 1989 with a degree in mechanical engineering. On September 13, 1986 he married Kathryn Madsen. Over the years he worked for many area farmers, for West Central Turkeys, and in 1993 began working for Thiele Technologies as a project leader. He was also the lead singer for the band, “Nasty Habit”. On February 14, 2002 he married Christina Ackert in Fergus Falls. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his “Nasty Habit” family. He also enjoyed singing, watching football, farming, hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death was his father, Warren Larson. Survivors include his wife, Christina of Rothsay; children, Justin (Missy) Larson of Rothsay, Megan (Dan) Larson of Brookings, SD, and Cody Larson of Rothsay; four grandchildren: Warren and Gage of Brookings, SD, and Miranda and Jackson of Rothsay; and his mother, Viola Larson of Rothsay. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at New Life Lutheran Church, Rothsay, MN Clergy: Reverend Paul Huso Interment: There will be a private family interment at Bagstevold Cemetery, rural Erhard, MN Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
