Cynthia Lee Vondra-Hensch, 53, of rural Foxhome, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at her home.

She was born on August 4, 1961 in Chadron, NE, the daughter of Dr. Carl and Georgia (Muma) Vondra. She grew up in Ames, Iowa and attended school there, graduating from Ames High School in 1979. After high school, she attended and graduated from Iowa State University in 1985 and also attended University of Montabahn in France.

On Sepember 5, 1998 she married Ronald Hensch in Campbell, MN. Over the years she worked as a head cook at Iowa State University Field Station, as a waitress in Ames, IA, as a receptionist for “Let Us Entertain You” restaurant in Chicago, IL, was employed with Herberger’s in Fergus Falls and most recently a sales for Royal Foods in Minneapolis.

She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, gourmet cooking and baking, reading, gardening, needle work and all outdoor activities.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hensch of Foxhome, MN; her parents, Dr. Carl and Georgia Vondra of Ames, IA; sister Carla (Brad) Anderson of FL and her twin sister, Georgia Vondra of TX; a brother, Charles (Kari) Vondra of MT; two nieces; three nephews; one grandnephew and her father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Donna Hensch of Fergus Falls.

There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home.
