Craig “Busch” D. Norman, 62, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Craig was born on July 4, 1953, to Donald R. and Valera (Todahl) Norman in Fergus Falls. For his third birthday, Craig got a brother! His brother, Scott was born that day and they shared a Fourth of July birthday. He attended grade school at Cleveland Elementary School and graduated from Fergus Falls Senior High School in 1971. He then attended St. Paul Tech for Graphic Arts, graduating in 1973. On September 12, 1981, he married Renee D. Schiesser in Loveland, CO.
Busch was a handyman and worked at a variety of jobs over the years, but a great deal of his time was spent helping friends and family. Busch had a huge heart for people and a magnetic personality. Busch lit up whenever his kids or grandkids were around. Most people would remember Busch being happiest cruising the roads of Otter Tail County on his motorcycle. Busch’s kids lovingly referred to him as an old hippie. He was a rare breed, never judgemental, he didn’t discriminate, everybody that knew him loved him…it was impossible not to.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Norman; his brother, Scott Norman; his father-in-law, Walt Schiesser; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Craig is survived by his daughter, Maggie (Ryan) Honer of Dent; his son, Monte (Kalie Anderson) of Black Hawk, SD; their mother, Renee Norman of Fergus Falls; his precious grandchildren, Jake and Faye Honer; his mother, Valera Norman of Fergus Falls; his brother, Zac Norman of Fergus Falls; a sister, Beth (Greg) Zeipelt of Lake Elmo; sister-in-law, Linda Norman; his nephews, Hunter Norman, Joe Norman and Sam Norman; his niece, Lydia Zeipelt; aunts and uncles, Richie and Deliah Norman, Dilly Todahl and Kelly Norman; his mother-in-law, Luella Schiesser; and numerous cousins and many dear friends. He is also survived by his beloved canine companion, “Buzz”.
Busch was very much loved and will forever be missed. “You can’t buy cool” (Busch Norman), he just was!
