Corrine Molter

Corrine Leone Molter, 80, a resident of Hospitality House, Dayton Hollow, rural Fergus Falls, was welcomed by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into her heavenly home on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

Corrine was born June 10, 1933. She was the loving daughter of Harry C. and Nelsena (Johnson) Olson of Fergus Falls. At the age of eight, by the grace of God, Corrine survived the removal of a brain tumor at Sister Kenny Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1952.

In June of 1954 she married Donald Molter, also of Fergus Falls. The couple lived and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. while Donald served in the military. Two of Corrine’s favorite locations were Holland and Hawaii.

While living in Holland, they adopted their son, John, at the age of two. In 1973, Corrine and John settled back in Fergus Falls. Corrine was employed in various capacities at several different businesses in Fergus Falls, including Sears, Norbys, Cox Bakery, Medallion Kitchens and Lake Region Hospital.

Corrine thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family, always looking forward to Sunday dinner and cards. She was an avid baker, eager to share the treats. She loved and cared for many pets, even throughout her traveling days; a favorite was a Chihuahua named Sandy.

She was a longtime faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, of Fergus Falls. Corrine loved God. She loved and prayed faithfully for her family, especially her son, John. She was a loving aunt, grandmother and mother-in-law. Corrine will be remembered for her sweet playful smile, gentle spirit, and a generous, caring servant’s heart.

Corrine was preceded into heaven by her parents; a brother, Harold Olson; two sisters, Adeline Olson Seim and Marie Olson Bullock.

Survivors include her son, John (Barbara) Molter of Fergus Falls; two grandsons, Daniel Molter, of Sparks, NV and Timothy (Anna) Molter of Fergus Falls; great grandson, Joshua Molter, of Fergus Falls; brother-in-law, Chuck Bullock of Glenwood, MN; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Robertson Olson of Fergus Falls, Grace Molter Herring, of Chico, CA and Ella Koehler Molter of San Jose, CA; as well as cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
