Corinne Marie Nelson (Johnson) 86, of south Minneapolis, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, from complications of osteoporosis. She was born Feb. 23, 1921, in Fergus Falls. She lived a full life as wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, teacher and church musician serving as organist and choir director at Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls for 10 years, and at Lebanon Lutheran Church in south Minneapolis for 47 years. Corinne played the organ for countless funeral services, first at a mortuary in San Diego, Calif., then at the Henry Anderson Mortuary in Minneapolis, sang with the Reformation Singers and was an active member of Tuesday Music Club. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; a daughter, Marcia Holt; grandchildren, Anna Rendell (Jared), Christopher Ferguson and Amy Ferguson; sisters, Louise Braaten of Florida, Norma Danielson of Minneapolis, Margie Possehl (Dewey) of Moorhead; and a cherished circle of extended family and friends.
