Coleen Marie Marquard Stinchfield, 57, a resident of Elizabeth, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at her home.
She was born December 15, 1956, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Larry and Sharon (Luebke) Marquard. Coleen attended elementary school at District 1399 in Elizabeth and high school at Fergus Falls High graduating in 1974. She then attended M State in Fergus Falls, graduating as an LPN in 1980.
On December 15, 2006, she married Danny “Dan” Stinchfield in Elizabeth. They have made Elizabeth their home. Coleen has been employed throughout the years as a waitress at “Ann’s Café” in Elizabeth, an LPN at Pioneer Home and Lake Region Healthcare, both in Fergus Falls, a member of the team at both Taco Johns and McDonalds in Fergus Falls and she was employed at Banner Engineering, Fergus Falls for ten years.
Coleen was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Elizabeth Fireman’s Auxiliary and Lion’s Club, Elizabeth City Council and the Christian Mothers of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading cookbooks, playing softball, camping, WeFest and was a proud grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her smile.
Preceding her in death were her parents and stepmother, Gen.
Survivors include her husband, Dan of Elizabeth; her daughter, Erin (Joby) Johnson of Fergus Falls; two sons, Derek Stinchfield of Grand Forks, ND and Danton Stinchfield of Fargo, ND; 4 grandchildren, Brayden, Zachary, Kendalle and Madisyn; two brothers, Steve (Dawn) Marquard of Fergus Falls and Brian Marquard of Fergus Falls; sister-in-law, Debbie Marquard of Fergus Falls; stepbrother, Eric (Gregg) Gunderson of Fergus Falls; two nieces, Ann and Bree; one nephew, Brandon; and five special sisters, Dini, Cathy, Jane, Nancy and Julie.
Visitation: 4-7 pm Thursday, December 4, 2014, with rosary at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 5:30 pm at Brenny Hall, Elizabeth
Memorial Service: 2 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Elizabeth
Clergy: Father Alan Wielinski
Interment: St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Elizabeth
