Clifford M. Weisser, 88, a resident of Battle Lake, MN formerly of Tintah, died Monday, April 06, 2015, at his home.
Clifford was born on February 23, 1927 in Menominie, WI, the son of Emil and Adeila (Tretin) Weisser. At the age of 2 the family moved to Tintah, MN, where Clifford attended country school.
On February 3, 1951 he married Lois Koltes and the couple lived on the farm. Clifford’s life was spent as a dairy and grain farmer. He was very involved in the Monson Immanuel Lutheran church and was also a member of the school board and the National Farmer’s Organization. Lois died on January 17, 1983 and Clifford moved to Battle Lake in 1984.
On June 1, 1985 he married Arlene Rude Adams at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Dalton, MN.
He loved to play golf, dance, fish, spend time on his pontoon, hunt, play cards and cribbage and travel stateside and abroad. He also enjoyed the annual family reunions at the lake and mowing his lawn with his “Johnny Deere”. He belonged to First Lutheran church, Battle Lake and Our Saviors Lutheran church in Mesa, AZ, where Arlene and he wintered for 30 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lois (Koltes) Weisser; son, Terry Weisser; daughter, Sandra Molacek; son, Loren Adams; granddaughter, Lyndsey Weisser; sisters, Irene Raguse and Lois Smith and a special nephew, Denny Klugman.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; children, Pam (Kim) Beckius of Horace, ND, Rick (Cathy) Weisser of Fargo, ND, Rickie (Peg) Adams of Ashby, Richard (Gena) Adams of Olympia, WA; son-in-law, Robert Molacek (fiancée, Pam) of Maple Grove, MN; daughter-in-law, Ida Adams of Shakopee, MN; grandchildren, Adam (Tyken) Beckius, Erin (Jordan) Fulsebakke, Jenna Weisser, Nick Weisser, Chelsea Molacek, Luke Molacek, Chris (Stephanie) Adams, Cain Adams (fiancée, Megan); great-grandchildren, Grace and Faith Beckius, Jace and Graiden Fulsebakke, Ian and Henry Adams.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
