Clarence Jacobson, 86, of Elizabeth, died Friday, August 30, 2019 at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
He was born July 12, 1933, to Anton and Calma (Lerbakken) Jacobson in Oscar Township on the family farm. He completed 8th grade at country school in District #61.
He grew up on the family farm in Oscar Township. He purchased his own farm in the 1960’s and remained on his farm until July 2019, since then he has been a resident of PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Clarence was a lifelong member of Hedemarken Lutheran Church and served on the church board. He also served on the Lake Region Electric Association Board of Directors, and the Oscar Township Board. He was involved with 4-H, Luther League Softball, League Horseshoe, and a volunteer at the Fergus Fall Food Pantry. He was an avid gardener, who generously shared his produce. He enjoyed playing games with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; his parents, Anton and Calma; brother-in-law, Gerald Girard, and a nephew.
He is survived by his sisters, Helen (Gilman) Nord, Alice Girard, and Myrtle Carr; five nephews; six nieces; numerous grand-nephews and nieces, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to LB Hospice in Fergus Falls, Partners in Rothsay, or donor’s choice.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the Olson Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.
