Christian James Muir, 49, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
He was born August 12, 1964, in Karlstad, Minnesota, the son of James and Karen (Wilebski) Muir. The family moved to Fergus Falls in 1968. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1982, and then attended Alexandria Technical College.
Chris traveled to North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Arizona, returning to Fergus Falls in 1992. He was employed at Metz Baking Company, and most recently at Lund Boats.
He met his lifetime companion, Tracy Beckman, in 1994, and their son, Tristan, was born January 6, 2003.
Chris enjoyed the outdoors, hunting at the hunting cabin in Caribou Township in Kittson County, Minnesota, and spending time on the water. In his younger years he played baseball.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Frances and Albert Muir, William and Ruth Wilebski; and a nephew, Tyler Klegstad.
Survivors include his life companion, Tracy Beckman, of Fergus Falls; his son, Tristan; parents, Jim and Karen Muir of Fergus Falls; sister, Joelle (Keith) Klegstad of Hallock MN; brothers, Jon Muir of Moose Lake MN, and Chad Muir of Fergus Falls; nieces Leah and Sophie; nephew Dalton; aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls
