Charles Dale Elshaug “Chuck”, “Charlie”, 75, resident of Fergus Falls, died, Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at his home at the Life Song Residence in Fergus Falls.
Charles was born October 24, 1939, in Underwood, Minnesota, son of Oscar and Ragna (Stolson) Elshaug. He attended country school #112, then Underwood High School. After high school he worked for local farmers. When his parent’s moved to Fergus Falls, Charlie worked for Star Laundry and Cleaners and Cox’s Bakery.
He was united in marriage to Stella Stahl. This union produced a daughter, Bethene Faith and a son, Keith Elshaug. Charles then worked for Will-Rich in Wahpeton for 7 years, then Marvin Windows in Warroad, Minnesota for 10 years. Later, he returned to Fergus Falls, and worked at City Bakery and Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Charlie loved the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlie loved jokes and making everyone around him laugh. Charlie found amazing comfort and strength in his faith in the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edwin, Carroll, Oscar Jr. and sister, Mavis Hauge.
Charles is survived by his son, Keith Elshaug (Tracy Ellingson), of Pelican Rapids; daughter, Bethene Faith (Bob Anderson) of Breckenridge; stepsons, Pedar Aune and Christopher Aune; brother, Rueben (Rose) Elshaug; sisters, Lillian Franke and MaryAnn (Glen) Kenyon; grandchildren, Brooke Brown (Alijah), Autumn Elshaug (Nick), Daniel Harstad, Lily Elshaug, Kyleigh Monday, Kristopher Monday, Brody Ross, Kaylie Ross; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jorden, Chevy and Emerson; He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service: 2 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at the Salvation Army, Fergus Falls

Interment: 12 noon, Monday at Rindal Cemetery, Underwood, Minnesota
