Charles “Chuck” G. Dale, 76, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
Chuck was born on October 7, 1947 in Fertile, MN, the son of Melvin and Pearl (Iverson) Dale. He grew up and attended school in Fertile, graduating from Fertile High School in 1965. After high he attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1971. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, serving in Vietnam.
On September 4, 1976, he married Charlotte Hanson in Pelican Rapids, MN. Through the years he worked for the Fertile Grain Company as an assistant manager, Cominco American for 2 years as the manager and in 1978 started his career with the State of Minnesota Department of Agriculture as an Agronomist. He retired in 2009 as a supervisor in the seed and noxious weed department.
He was member of AASCO (American Association of Seed Control Officials) and a life member of Fergus Falls V.F.W. Post 612. Chuck attended St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Paul Park, MN and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, where he held several offices and volunteered with many groups. His true love was spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and bird watching.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Arlen; and brother-in-law, Lowell Beghtel.
Survivors include his wife, Char of Fergus Falls; son, Andrew (Amanda) Dale of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Reece and Elina; brothers, Reverend Rodger (Connie) Dale of Port St. Lucie, FL, James “JR” Dale of Fargo; sister, Joyce Beghtel of Stockton, CA.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Fargo National Veterans Cemetery, Harwood, ND
