Carole Huckfeldt, 79, of Elizabeth, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her residence with family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carole Helen Maack was born November 2, 1942, to Ernest and Ruth (Flaws) Maack in Fergus Falls. She graduated from high school in California in 1959. She also attended MState in Fergus Falls and was working towards becoming a phlebotomist.
She was employed at the Pelican Rapids Turkey plant for 10 years and also Kessel Group Home as a care giver for 25 years. Carole retired in 2015.
Gardening, visiting friends and family, home improvements, and camping were some of her favorite things to do.
Preceding her in death were her father, Ernest Maack; mother, Ruth Maack, and sister, Patricia Waterman.
Carole is survived by her children, Connie (James) Olson of Elizabeth, Michael (Veleta) Huckfeldt of Fergus Falls, and David (Chantel Borders) Huckfeldt of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Ross Huckfeldt, Kristine Olson Julsrud, Billie Jo Huckfeldt DeSpain, Amy Huckfeldt Plunkett, Nicole Barry, Anthony Huckfeldt, Zackary Huckfeldt, Michael Huckfeldt, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Fall.
