Carol Louise Larson, 94, a resident of Fergus Falls, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Carol was born on February 12, 1923, in Nevada, IA, to Glen M. and Clara (Tesdall) Scott. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1941, and went on to attend one year in Business College in Fort Dodge, IA.
On February 14, 1942, she married Lloyd S. Larson in Badger, IA. In October of 1942 Lloyd joined the U.S. Army Air Corp, and upon his discharge in November of 1945, they moved to Iowa, and in 1948 moved to southern Minnesota where they farmed. In 1972 they sold the farm and moved to Owatonna. During this time Carol worked at the public school. In 1990, they moved to Fergus Falls and she worked at City Hall in the cafeteria.
Carol was an active member of Calvary Free Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, involved with the Stephen’s ministry, and was a member of the Gideon’s. She enjoyed gardening, travel, and playing games with family and friends. Later in life, she enjoyed faithfully watching the MN Twins on her big screen TV and also enjoyed her iPad.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Glen and Clara Scott; husband, Lloyd; son, Gary; infant daughter, Shirley Larson; brothers, Eldon Scott, Wayne Scott; daughter-in-law, Colleen; and grandson, Scott Larson.
Survivors include her children, Elaine (Lemoyne) Jacobson of San Diego, CA, Mark (Naomi) Larson of Fergus Falls, Philip (Sarah) Larson of Minnesota Lake; grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Larson, Teresa Jacobson, Amy Larson, Matt (Erin) Larson, Sarah (Ben) Anderson, Michelle Larson, Kari Larson, Nic (Rachel) Larson, Josh Larson, Melissa (David) Andersen, Aja Tabb; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, with a 6:30 p.m. public prayer service, and continuing one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, MN
