Carma Oyloe

Carma Oyloe, age 102, passed away on February 10, 2024, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls. Carma Louise Snowberg was born on June 16, 1921, the daughter of Carl and Amy Snowberg of Fergus Falls. She attended Madison Grade School and Washington Senior High in Fergus Falls and was proud of graduating as an honor student.

Following graduation, she worked for Bell Telephone in Fergus Falls. In June of 1942 she married Harley Oyloe of Fergus Falls and they moved to Bakersfield, California, close to the air base where Harley was stationed. After the war, they returned to Fergus Falls and Carma returned to work at Bell Telephone. She was employed there on and off until she retired in 1982.

As a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carma participated in church activities and taught Sunday school. She also did volunteer work, including being an election worker.

Carma was a sociable and good-natured person who usually greeted people with a big smile. She made many friends over the years, and enjoyed keeping in touch with them. She liked to play cards, was in several bridge clubs, and enjoyed the noon hour card games at the old Elks Club in Fergus Falls. She also liked to raise flowers, read, and follow current events.

Carma was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Marley, John, Loris, and Alan.

She is survived by her husband of 82 years, Harley; and son, Mark of Fergus Falls; she also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
