W. W. "Bud" Engen, 79, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. He was born April 10, 1928 in Clitherall, Minnesota, the son of Alfred and Olive (Wilson) Engen. He served with the Marine Corps during World War II. On June 9, 1948 he married Phyllis Dobbs in Henning, Minnesota. Bud was employed with Otter Tail Power Company from 1950 until his retirement in 1993, serving in Fergus Falls, MN, and Enderlin, Tower City, Hankinson and Jamestown, ND. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Eagles, and Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of Fergus Falls; his children: Steven (Lisa) Engen of Kearney, NE, Peggy (John) Pepsin of Moorhead, MN, and Penny (Charles) Krause of Hankinson, ND; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Alfred "Curley" (Francis) Engen of Anacortes, WA, Dean "Toby" (Barbara) Engen of Big Lake, MN, and Mandelyn Halvorson of Fergus Falls.
