Brian Marquard, 48, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his home.
He was born October 24, 1966 in Fergus Falls, the son of Larry and Sharon (Luebke) Marquard. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Elizabeth. Brian attended school in Fergus Falls, graduating in 1985 and continued his education at Alexandria Tech School, receiving his certification as a welder.
Brian was a welder/fabricator at “Attachments International” in Pelican Rapids, which later became “Henry’s Building System.” Brian was a hard worker but eventually had to retire due to his health. He was also a carpet installer and a jack of all trades.
On July 12, 1991 he was united in marriage to Sherri Myaer at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth.
Brian enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and cooking and dreamed of owning a Harley. He was a patient man and was very easy to please. He was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church and the Fergus Falls Eagles Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents; step-mother, Genevieve Marquard; sister, Coleen Stinchfield.
Brian is survived by his brother, Steve (Dawn) Marquard of Fergus Falls; three nieces, Bree (Gary) Snaza or Princeton, Ann Thiedich-Justice of Colorado, Erin Johnson of Fergus Falls; brother-in-law, Dan Stinchfield of Elizabeth; great nieces and nephew, Audry Shelbie, Savannah and Brayden; son, Brandon Stanley of Rothsay; two grandchildren, Jordan and Zeke; step-brother, Eric (Gregg) Gunderson; friend and companion, Sherri Marquard of Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls
Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth.
