Bradley C. Torgerson, 47, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, June 13, 2013.
He was born December 25, 1965, in Red Wing, the son of Paul and Marie (Mobraten) Torgerson. He grew up in Kenyon, MN and was baptized at the United Redeemer Church in Zumbrota. In 1978, he moved with his family to a farm near Underwood and graduated from Underwood High School in 1985.
Following high school, he attended ND State School of Science in Wahpeton, Fergus Falls Community College and Hibbing Community College, where he received his Associates of Arts Degree. He worked at a variety of businesses, including Productive Alternatives, LSS, Banner Engineering, Shoremaster, and most recently was employed by Synstelien Community Services, all of Fergus Falls.
On September 6, 1997, he married Leisha Moss at Tingvold Lutheran Church, rural Underwood. They made their home in Fergus Falls and together operated “Forever Young”, a licensed family child daycare.
Brad enjoyed music, being active in various groups and choruses in the area, including Minnesota All State Lutheran Choir, M State of Fergus Falls and Men of Note. He also participated in music for church worship. Throughout the years he belonged to the 4-H, FFA, school sports, was an avid camper, enjoyed old cars, motorcycles, and riding bike. He finished both Grandma’s and Twin Cities Marathons. He will be remembered for being a great dad and husband with a strong faith.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Julius and Frances Mobraten; paternal grandparents, Lorimer and Irene Torgerson; an infant sister, Jill; two brothers, Dan and Matthew; and a niece, Patsy Torgerson.
Survivors include his wife, Leisha and their children, Athyna, George and Joseph all of Fergus Falls; his parents, Paul and Marie of Princeton; two brothers, Timothy (Carol) Torgerson of White Bear Lake and Kevin (Lori) Torgerson of Stewartville; a sister, Carrie (Jay) Grammond of Princeton; his in-laws, Duane and Patricia Moss of Fergus Falls and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church
