Bradley Kenneth Stofer

Bradley Kenneth Stofer, 68, a resident of Denver, CO, formerly of the Fergus Falls area died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Denver, CO.

Brad was born on November 20, 1948, the son of Kenneth and Alpha (Mortenson) Stofer in Fergus Falls, MN. As a kid, Brad attended country school in Bluegrass, MN and later, attended Wadena Public School, graduating HS with the class of 1966. He received his B.A. degree in Business Administration from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN.

On October 18, 1969, Brad married Kathy Dahl at Maine Presbyterian Church, rural Underwood. His former spouse, Kathy Stofer, lives in Fergus Falls and is the mother of his four children.

Brad bravely served his country in the Vietnam War where he received numerous medals including the Purple Heart.

On August 19, 1985 in Moorhead, MN, Brad married Linda Harms of Battle Lake. Together they lived their life in Fergus Falls, MN, Steamboat Springs, CO and Denver, CO.

Brad worked in sales throughout his life, primarily in the ski industry. Most recently he was employed at Colorado Ski and Golf, retiring in October 2016.

Brad loved music, particularly The Beatles and Warren Zevon, as well as many bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. He passed his appreciation of great music on to his four children. His interests also included animals, especially dogs and polar bears, History, the Minnesota Vikings, the Stock Market, classic cars, skiing and biking.

Brad will lovingly be remembered for his quick-witted humor and kind, unassuming way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Stofer and his mother, Alpha (Mortenson) Stofer.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Stofer of Denver, CO; four children, Josie (Rick) Keating of Coos Bay, OR, Tessa (Ben) Schierer of Fergus Falls, MN, Zachary Stofer of Duluth, MN and Susannah (Michael) Amundson of Alexandria, MN; siblings, Julie (Larry) Doth of Fridley, MN, Martin (Kay) Stofer of Anchorage, AK, Greg (Sandy) Stofer of Burnsville, MN, Randy (Lu) Stofer of Denver, CO, Elaine (Glenn) Moulton of Torrance, CA and Dora Jiminez of Huntington Beach, CA; ten grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, March 17, 2017 with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at the Olson Funeral Home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Federated Church in Fergus Falls
