Beverly Hoxie

Beverly Marilyn Hoxie, 80, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was born June 12, 1927, in Western Township of Otter Tail County, near Fergus Falls, the daughter of Avery and Alice (Achen) Davenport. She was baptized at the Western Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1944. Beverly began her employment with Norwest Bank in Fergus Falls in 1944, working there until her retirement on June 30, 1986. On May 14, 1951, she married Edgar T. Hoxie in Webster, South Dakota. They had two children, Mary and Tom. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She was a past member of the National Association of Bank Women, the Business and Professional Women, and the Lake Region Board of Realtors. Preceding her in death were her husband, Edgar; her parents; one brother, Daryl Davenport; and two sisters: Janet Steussy and Marjorie Petersen. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Miles) Larson of Bagley and Minnetonka; her son, Thomas (Jean) Hoxie of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren: Nathan and Megan Larson, and Randi and Raina Hoxie; a brother, Avery Davenport of Fergus Falls; and two sisters: Patricia (Merhle) Messer and Beryl Johnson, all of Fergus Falls.
