Beverly Ann Bullock, 73, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls. She was born March 5, 1938, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Harvey and Nellie (Anderson) Bullock. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1956. She graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho in 1960 with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. She also did graduate work at Moorhead State University, St. Thomas College, and the University of Minnesota, Morris. She taught in Battle Lake, Wadena, and in Fergus Falls. While teaching in Fergus Falls she received the “Excellence in Teaching” certificate from the Chamber of Commerce. Beverly loved youngsters and often spoke of her joy of teaching. They affectionately called her “Miss B”. She was an active member of the local Church of the Nazarene. During her years of service she served on the church board, was Youth President and taught Sunday School and Ladies’ Bible Study, directed many Vacation Bible Schools, and served as assistant librarian in the church. She received the “Distinguished Service Award” from the local Nazarene Church for her years of service. Bev loved to sing, play the piano, and entertain friends in her home, and was fond of flower gardening. She also enjoyed interior decorating. She loved life and shared her joy and personal faith in Christ with others. She displayed a great sense of humor. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Leonard, Reno, Raymond and James; and long time friends and companions, Helen and Marian Bohn. Survivors include her son, Todd Petersen of Underwood; two brothers, Rev. John (Esther) Bullock of Tempe, Arizona, and Gordon (Barbara) Bullock of Boise, Idaho; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Memorials are preferred to Nazarene World Missions or the Nazarene Church library.
