Barbara Joyce Wick, 75, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, due to complications during her battle with cancer.
She was born May 21, 1937, in Tullahoma, TN, the daughter of Edwin and Agnes (Allmon) Amberg. She attended school in Chicago, IL, and in New York Mills, MN, where she met her loving husband, Ray Wick. They were married on April 2, 1955, and lived there before moving to Fergus Falls, MN.
Over the years Barbara was employed as a telephone operator, in various clothing stores, and finally as a kitchen attendant at Adam’s School. She enjoyed raising and spending time with her large family and her husband Ray, and their two cats. She also enjoyed going for coffee with “the girls” and attending church. Through the years she enjoyed bowling, reading, knitting, crocheting, and was involved with her children in 4H, sports, and various other activities.
Barbara leaves loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Ray, of Fergus Falls; her children: Teri Dittmer of Moorhead, Michael (Connie) Wick of Belgrade, MT, Paul Wick of Fargo, Mark Wick of Fergus Falls, and Jennifer (Leslie) Rich of Minnetonka; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Duane Henderson of Big Stone City, SD.
Preceding her in death were her two children, David Wick and Faith Henderson, her grandson, Shannon Henderson, her stepfather, Edwin, her mother, Agnes, and her sister, Stephanie Mabbott.
Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls

Interment: Woodland Cemetery in New York Mills, Minnesota
