Audrey Boe

Audrey Irene Boe, 78, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.

Audrey was born May 19, 1935 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Fergus Falls the daughter of Ingvald and Arvilla (Johnson) Helle. She graduated from Ashby High School in 1953. On January 7, 1956 she was united in marriage to Llewellyn (Lou) Boe at Pelican Lake Church in Ashby.

She was trained as a hairdresser and worked in various salons over the years. Audrey later worked in the Sunmart Deli and then in activities at PioneerCare before retiring.

Audrey was a strong willed, independent person with a passion for gardening, baking, crafts and driving a clean car. She was an avid sports spectator, cheering on her husband and sons in their various sports, along with being a proud grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lou in 1992; sister, C. Teloris Evavold; brother-in-laws, Carroll Boe and Ken Van Santen; sister-in-laws, Margaret Helle and Shannon Van Santen.

Audrey is survived by her three sons, Kendal (Kristi) Boe of Fergus Falls, Darwin (Sarah) Boe of Breckenridge, Kevin (Allyson) Boe of Moorhead; three grandsons, Jordan, Zachary and Tyler Boe; one granddaughter, Kylie Boe; sister, Dorothy (Dennis) Evavold; brother, Dennis (Judy) Helle; in-laws, Donovan (Laura) Boe, Gary Boe, Charles (Gail) Boe and Rosie Boe. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, old friends, clients, neighbors and most recently her wonderful caregivers.

Memorials are preferred to National Parkinson’s Foundation of Minnesota, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls or Lakeland Hospice.

Visitation: 1 hour before service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
