Arnold Thom, 87, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids. Arnold A. Thom was born on September 12, 1920 in Friberg Township of Otter Tail County to Christ and Elsie (Stein) Thom. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. Along with farming he owned and operated the Who's Inn and the Corner Bar. Later in life he worked at the Fergus Falls Coca Cola bottling plant, the Pelican Rapids turkey plant as well as the Metz Baking Company in Fergus Falls. Arnold was a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion. Throughout the years he enjoyed farming with his horses, trail rides, taking folks on buggy or sleigh rides and polka dancing. He is survived by his sisters Frieda and Myrtle. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clarice, four brothers, Ed, Henry, Ernest, and Paul as well as two sisters, Margaret and Mildred.
