Arnold Rotering

Arnold Rotering passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 91. Arnold was and has always been a very kind, gentle, well-loved, giving, and helpful man. As such, he was on many boards and committees throughout his life, and always available to lend a hand to anyone and everyone. He was a quiet man who had an infectious laugh and smile. He was always grateful and was a favorite at the care center. Saying, "Thank you," was common, and one of the last comments he made. Arnold enjoyed bowling, golf, community activities, 4-H leadership, and listening to the Minnesota Twins on the radio.

After graduating from New England St. Mary's High School in 1950, he farmed and raised cattle near Amidon, North Dakota. On November 4, 1953, Arnold married Vivian Koppinger. Arnold and Vivian have four children; Jeff (Claire) Rotering, Dave (Candy) Rotering, Karen (Kurt) Weidle, and Aaron (Devora) Rotering. Arnold and Vivian are and were the proud grandparents to eleven grandchildren as well as nine great grandchildren.

Arnold and Vivian lived on the family farm until later in life when they moved to New England North Dakota followed by a move to Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Arnold will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
