Arlyn "Sammy" Samuelson

Arlyn “Sammy” Samuelson, 83, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Fergus Falls on January 31, 1940 to Selmer and Alice Samuelson. He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1957. On November 19, 1961, he married Donna Wilde.

Sammy worked for the Otter Tail County Highway Department until 1962. Then he worked for Otter Tail Power Company until retirement in 1998. He also drove cars for Quality Toyota.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling, photography, and watching NASCAR and Airshows.

Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant sister; sister, Margie; daughter-in-law, Lisa Samuelson, and sister-in-law, Marlys (Jerald) Lemke.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Mark of Fergus Falls, Ron of Alexandria, and Paul (Lynette) of Fargo; daughter, Lisa of Fargo; grandchildren, Nick (Beth) of Fargo, Tim of Fargo, Macy (Tyler) Blegen of Alexandria, Jake (Jenny) of Alexandria, and Tyler of Alexandria; great-granddaughter, Aubree; sister, Elaine (Phil) Geary of Detroit Lakes; sisters-in-law, Jean Wedll of Elizabeth and Susan Kiser of Fargo; brothers-in-law, Jack Wilde of Elizabeth and Terry (Cathy) Wilde of Elizabeth, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
