Arlan G. Scramstad

Arlan Gustav Scramstad passed away on October 20th, 2017, at the age of 92 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls, MN. Arlan was born on the family farm near Underwood, MN on November 24th, 1924, the son of Gustav and Katinka (Kolstad) Scramstad.

Arlan attended District 109 and Underwood High School. He was a member of the US Air Force stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and Keesler Field, Mississippi. He attended Dunwoody Trade School and worked at Onans Electric and Foley Manufacturing in Minneapolis, MN. He worked for 10 years at Carnation Milk in Los Angeles, CA, and 22 years for Mid-America Dairy in Fergus Falls.

On July 14th, 1973, he married Lucy Wehrenberg, the love of his life, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Arlan and Lucy spent 44 wonderful years together enjoying their grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives. Arlan enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, crossword puzzles and dancing with Lucy.

Arlan is survived by his wife, Lucy; sister, Marilyn (Harry) Schmidke; stepson Michael (Kristie) Wehrenberg; granddaughters, Khristy (Matt) Enderle, Sherie (Jeff) Brown, and Kari Link; great grandchildren, Drew, Drake, Kaisha, Jayden, Kacyn and Miraya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlan is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Katinka; brothers, Gordon (Marion), Lloyd (Rose), Vernon (Jackie), Kermit, sisters, Catherine (Ruben) Wenstrom, Mabel (Warren) Martinson, Lucille (Martin) Tostenson and Gloria (Richard) Anderson; and stepson, Bryan Wehrenberg.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Reverend Roger Lange and Reverend John Christensen
Interment: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls
